Manoj Choudhury
Mr. Manoj Choudhury is a barrister of Lincoln’s Inn, London. He practised as a lawyer at Calcutta High Court for over 20 years and at the English Bar in London for 2 years. Besides that he spent 9 years in Humburg, out of which practised for 5 years as a foreign lawyer (‘Rechtsbeistand’) in shipping and marine insurance, both of German and English law.Furthermore, Mr Choudhury is in the Panel of Arbitrators of the Indian Council of Arbitration. His extensive professional experience in commercial law (both domestic and international) including arbitration, shipping and P & I Club matters, insurance, banking, and joint ventures, is an asset to Farringdons. Peter Bond
Mr Peter Bond is a Consultant to Farringdons. He has over 40 years experience as a partner in a leading commercial firm of solicitors in the City of London. Mr. V. J. Dave is an Honours graduate in law from the University of London and is a practising solicitor of England and Wales. He has six years experience with a major UK bank, handling banking matters only.Mr. Dave specialises in civil/commercial work, mainly in banking and sale of good matters, including debt recovery, drafting of facility/lending, security and all other bank documentations, as well as disputes concerning transactions involving banks and financial institutions, sale and carriage of goods. Whilst with the bank Mr. Dave acquired considerable experience in the practice of banking, which Farringdons’ clients have found of great benefit.

Francesca Cala’
Ms Francesca Cala’ graduated in 2000 with Honours at the University of Bologna. After successfully passing the Bar Examination in Bologna, she was admitted to the Bar in Italy in 2003, where she has been registered since as a practicing lawyer.After working in a leading Italian law firm with headquarters in Bologna, Ms Cala’ has worked as a sole practitioner in Italy advising Italian corporations in civil and commercial law matters with a particular focus on law of obligations, commercial contracts, also on an international level, competition law, media law, IP and trademarks laws. In June 2008 Ms Cala’ fulfilled all the requirements to qualify as a Solicitor of England and Wales and awaits to be admitted to the Roll of Solicitors.

Amal Datta
Mr Datta has been a foreign lawyer of Farringdons since 1995. Together with Mr Manoj Choudhury, he was a partner of Datta, Choudhury & Dasgupta, a reputed Calcutta law firm. Mr. Amal Datta holds a BSc. (Econ) degree from London School of Economics and was called to the Bar by Inner Temple in 1962. He is an eminent practising barrister in Calcutta and a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India.Mr. Datta mainly practises as a company/commercial lawyer, both in contentious and non-contentious matters. His expertises are in technology transfer, joint venture, investment business and arbitration.
Mr. Datta was an elected Member of Lok Sabha (Indian Parliament) from 1982 to 1996, when he was also once the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, and also Chairman of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of the Indian Parliament. He represented Government of India as a Delegate to the United Nations 1993. Mr. Datta has travelled widely and has in-depth knowledge of the commercial world.

S. Sathyamoorthy
Mr. S. Sathyamoorthy is the former Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and also the former Chairman of Audit Board in India. He is the advisor of Farringdons in matters relating to rules and regulations regarding foreign direct investments in India, foreign exchange controls, mergers and acquisitions. Mr Ayaz Karim is a graduate from University of East London and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb) of London.
